The femoral head, the most proximal part of the femur, is supported by the femoral neck.
It acts as a joint with the acetabulum of the pelvis.
Two-thirds of the femoral head is spherical, but has a medial depression known as the fovea capitis femoris, which serves as an attachment point for the ligamentum teres.
The Femoral Head is available in CoCr or stainless steel alloy, 12/14 taper, 22-28-32-36 mm diameter in 5 different sizes from -3.5 to +10.5mm.
